Before I start I want to share that I couldn’t finish the movie. I left because it was pushing all my sensitive spots and triggering me so I left.

The movie is called Obsessed.

I identified so much with how my insides were breaking apart and how my inner person was screaming inside in excruciating pain. I don’t want to ruin it in case others haven’t seen it. However if you have seen it do any parts of her breakdown mirror what the early years of after discovery was like for you?

Without giving it away- the main character in the movie makes a very selfish decision that did not consider the feelings of the other person involved all because it served him and his desires and it literally changed her FOREVER and he couldn’t handle the aftermath.

Really really very similar to the psychological break down I felt as a betrayed spouse.

Was it the movie obsession?? I was able to watch it without any triggers, just thought it was a crap movie..you didn't miss anything lol. The big difference for me was we have choices, yes the pain at the start is excruciating but we do have a choice in how we handle it and whether we stay/go/temp separation etc, her ability to think and make a choice was removed. But I get the link of one person's actions impacting your world without your consent or even knowledge

I looked up both movies..."Obsession" and "Obsessed" because I hadn't heard of either one.

Obsession is FREAKY...and I am not into that type of movie so I could understand why I didn't watch that one .

Obsessed caught my eye because it stars Beyonce'. The movie was released in 2009 I believe. Jay Z was reported to have had affairs as early as 2003...so if this is the movie you are writing about...Beyonce' may have been reliving some of what she felt from the past affairs he had .

There is a video going around from 2017 where people thought that Beyonce' was on drugs at a basketball game because she seemed to be in a "trance like state". When I saw that video though...I remembered how I would just "zone out" at times just like she did. One time it was in front of one of my children and they were so concerned for me . I see SADNESS in her face. Even some of the most beautiful...talented...and desired women can fall prey to infidelity . The way Jay Z acted in that video tells a LOT as well!
